The newly revised Health IT Dashboard presents key information and data to support the monitoring of the impact of federal policies, programs, and research activities related to health IT.

The new Dashboard provides summary information about all ONC HITECH grant programs and detailed information on Regional Extension Centers and the Community College Consortia which serves to educate Health IT Professionals.

Health Information Exchange $$ Recipients Challenged to Increase Consumer Data Access

On Tuesday, March 20, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) convened an all-day Consumer Innovation Challenge meeting in Chicago in order to launch the Consumer Innovation Challenge to State Health Information Exchange grant recipients. building on the momentum of the ONC Pledge Program, to increase consumers’ access to their health information. Participating HIE states are being asked to make tangible progress over the next six months to provide electronic health information to consumers and the providers that care for them.

Health Information Exchange Strategy - ONC Paper Released

The Office of the National Coordinator has just released (March 7, 2012) a Health Affairs aper on “The Strategy for Advancing the Exchange of Health Information”.

The presentation contains a lot of information in it. I found the section on the lack of timely information on patient discharges being sent to primary care providers rather interesting.
