Through the eHealth Initiative 2010 National Survey on Health Information Exchange, 18 health information exchange initiatives were identified as being sustainable. These initiatives are operational, are not dependent on federal funding, and have broken even through operational revenue. One sustainable HIE has been HealthBridge.
