The Kansas City-area health information exchange, eHealthAlign is shutting its doors less than a year after startup.
The Kansas City are is also served by a few privately owned exchanges including the Lewis and Clark Information Exchange, serving providers in four states. There is also KC Carelink, which is used by “safety net” agencies.

eHealthAlign, the collaboration working to establish a "health information exchange" in Kansas City appointed a Tennessee-based company to provide the technology and infrastructure for the city’s exchange.
