The Southeast Michigan Beacon Community (SEMBC) is comprised of the cities of Detroit, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Hamtramck, and Highland Park.
The goal of the SEMBC is to use HIT and Exchange along with other clinical interventions to enable patient-centered care and test clinical and operational interventions that are specifically designed to deliver significant, measured results – better quality of care, lower healthcare costs, and ultimately, improved overall health of the Southeast Michigan population.

In August 2008 the state of Michigan awarded a grants to the Altarum Institute for planning activities for a health information exchange in the South Central Michigan region (Hillsdale, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston and Washtenaw counties) - the HealthCurrent project.

The Ann Arbor Area Health Information Exchange (A3) has a different web site than most of the other HIEs you see. It consists of one page with a link to signin, which was a dead link.
