BeaconLink2Health will deliver exchange capabilities previously unavailable in Southeast Michigan for health care providers to trusted, secure access to comprehensive patient electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) for improved patient care. The Southeast Michigan Beacon Community (SEMBC) is comprised of the cities of Detroit, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Hamtramck, and Highland Park.
The goal of the SEMBC is to use HIT and Exchange along with other clinical interventions to enable patient-centered care and test clinical and operational interventions that are specifically designed to deliver significant, measured results – better quality of care, lower healthcare costs, and ultimately, improved overall health of the Southeast Michigan population.
