Utah IC3 Beacon Community Overview
In May, 2010, Utah was named one of 17 Beacon Communities across the United States. Also funded by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), the Utah Beacon Community Program, “Improving Care through Connectivity and Collaboration (IC3)” aims to leverage health information technology (health IT), to achieve dramatic and quantifiable improvements in healthcare quality, cost, and efficiency.
